Culture Front seeks to bring a gusty wind and flashes of lightning to preconceived notions of what it means to be an artist in the American West.

Culture Front wants to get you talking. We produce forums to discuss contemporary visual art, innovation, and creativity in Jackson Hole. Hosted by writer Meg Daly, the Culture Front blog welcomes perspective from artists and viewers in an ongoing conversation about our visual world. If you have ideas for guest blog posts, submit them to Meg at meg@megdaly.com. Or if there is something you want to see featured, let her know.

Culture Front also hosts an occasional arts discussion series, Culture Front Live, where Jackson-based contemporary artists to speak or perform on a specific theme in art. The intent is to encourage cross-pollination and inquiry among artists and audience.

A note about the artists links: They are by no means complete lists of artists in Jackson. For one thing, not every artist has a website. “Artists at the Front” are dedicated and/or professional fine artists who push the boundaries of their media and imaginations. They are rooted in the west and simultaneously making art that redefines and re-imagines the west in innovated ways. “More Artists and Creative People” is an even more partial list including artists working in traditional western or wildlife genres, artisans, craftspeople, and other dynamic ways.
